Priceminister this instructional exercise is for individuals who are in France or Belgium.
Priceminister [dot] fr is a website where users (particulars & pros) can sell their stuff..
When you buy something you have 2 options :
– The seller will send the product to your address (standard method)
– You will retrieve the product directly from the vendor..
The second option is the one that interests us.. you just have to find a good product, sold by a particular in your area (you can find a lot of non-used items sold by particulars).
The procedure is :
You pay normally on the website.
If the payment got approved, your order will be verified* by the website team. Priceminister
If the verification goes well, you’ll receive the next day an e-mail with the phone/e-mail of the seller, to get in contact with him, so you can arrange a meeting with him to retrieve your bought item. All you have to bring is a “paper” printed on the website where you’ll write with the seller if the product is the good one, and if it new/used…
This paper is useless because it serves only for a conflict situation after the trade, and we are not “real” customers.. so we don’t care. After the trade, you normally have to confirm that you have successfully got your bought item, so the seller will be paid by the website.
This is a really trusted website in France, sellers will (almost) never ask for an ID or whatever, I did this many times and NEVER got any trouble with a vendor, just stay nice, talk a little bit about the item and go home with it.
The most complicated thing here is of course the order verification.. It’s made by the website team, not by a third party.. Shop by night, so in the morning, when they’ll have hundreds of orders, they’ll directly approve most of the ones who’re under 250EUR. For more, they’ll ask you for a copy of ID/CC/domiciliation..
This method has been successfully tested, with FR/BE/UK bins, with non-matching billing
address/registered address on the website account.. It’s not (yet) a dead method.
